The girl who writes this blog

This girl’s name is Moniba. It means, One who returns to the good. She has several thoughts on the meaning of her name. Sometimes, she thinks she ought to change it. She does not want to be one who “returns” to the good. She wants to stay with the good. To never have to return, to never have to leave in the first place. But she supposes that’s a whim. Faith, after all, is ever-wavering, like the moon. Waxing and waning. So she assures herself, her name is a good one.

Moniba is twenty-seven. She is embarking on a new journey in 2022, one that brings its own joys and challenges. She would appreciate everyone’s prayers.

[The writer is officially a victim of severe writer’s block, reader’s block, self-doubt and lack of motivation since… almost forever]

  1. I wish you the best of success in your writing endeavors : ) If there is a piece of advice I can give it is that reading a lot can inspire your writing, so keep on reading. My second piece of advice is that sometimes with writing, you just have to do it. Even when you are not inspired ; )

    1. Thank you Maryam! Helpful advice. I already do a lot of the first one, and have been working on the second these days. Which resulted in 2 pieces of very random poetry..

  2. I won’t be sure unless I try and I can always change my mind if a deeper look warrants it.

That said, if the first impression is truly representative of who you are, I’ll probably be visiting now and then.

    Assalaamu ‘alaikum

  3. “If I had to tell someone all about me, I’d have to copy and paste the contents of my brain into theirs.”

Yeah, and that’s just to tell them one thing about you, properly.

Damned frustrating thing, trying to communicate.

But its probably still a good thing that no-one’s mind can fit completely into someone else’s.

    1. I agree. It’s probably a good thing. And indeed, communicating can get a little too frustrating at times. I’d say communication is over-rated, but I know it’s not.

  4. Cool. Another Pakistani blogger in the que. That’s great. You have a great blog. And not to forget the short and brief intro was quite pleasant to read.

  5. Heya thanks for following my blog and leading me to yours. Your writing style is refreshing and inspiring, I’m looking forward to reading more! 🙂 x

    1. I thank you too 🙂
You won’t be seeing much for a while, I have my final exams from Tuesday. But after that, hopefully, I’ll write more frequently.

    1. I don’t see how it’s flowery but thankyou for expressing your opinion here. And I think it’s better to go with a short intro, because if people want to know a writer, they can do so through his/her writings. Age and bio-data doesn’t constitute personality.

      1. i didnt mean bio-data and age and i disagree. Author’s imagination doesnt provide a clue about his/her personality. and as Dumbledor said, its our choices that tells us about ourselves 😀

      2. Do you really see “imagination” in these posts?… There’s barely any fiction. And some poetry, which isn’t really imagination. These are my opinions and sentiments about things that matter to me. So they do give an insight to who I am. And Dumbledore was right 😛 My choice of givvng a brief intro which doesn’t really say much about me as a person, should tell you a lot.

  6. Asalam-o-Alaikum,

  7. Hi Moniba,

Thank you ever so much for passing by my blog and writing such a sweet message. It looks like we have a few things in common – I’m very much a dreamer like you – the best way to be, I say!

  8. Nineteen, going on twenty??? You have depth, sensitivity, soul, far beyond your age, my dear girl! Bless you! Having hit middle age, I’m happy that reading some of you stuff (and others who led me here) that there are still some young folks here who have their heads screwed on right! Keep writing…

      1. In answer to your dilemma – of course (said with emphasis), keep writing! Let it lead you where it will… The Giver of Gifts has blessed you, don’t let it go waste…

      2. Oopsies. Hahah. Well, this is embarrassing. My apologies, sir;)
