      • It’s about a woman who has finally prostrated in front of Allah after 13 years. She feels immense relief and peace, so much so that she forgets every past strife she has had to face, for that moment. Because when her forehead submits to Allah, she loses herself in the feeling that washes over her. Nothing matters anymore because she now has Allah.
She then remembers that one day 13 years ago, when she prayed to Allah to take away every sliver of peace from her, until she returns to him herself. Her prayer was accepted, peace was stripped away from her.
Now 13 years later, she realizes how big of a blessing it really is. And she finally finds her way back to Allah.

  1. This is so true Moniba. This piece has struck a chord with me. Waqai jo qurbat khuda ke samney se girjaaney mein milti hai wo aur kisi haalat mein milna mumkin nahi! (Y)
N it kind of reminded me of Peer-e-Kamil 🙂

  2. Thank you so much for the explanation. Now, I know about your post. Urdu is seem Arabic in the written, but when I tried to read it, I felt difficult to understand, and I guessed you wrote in Urdu. Beautiful written, Niksa!

  3. apney naam per poori utri. way to end a piece. like that faint scribble of painter’s name on a picture. and that reference from the quran. impressive. have you read the book in great detail? i wonder what made her pray for such a doom!

  4. AWESOME POST! 😀
    That title…the description…the scene… and that ending!
